~~Pig and Spider Research Reports & Freebies~~

We are finished our unit on Charlotte's Web.  As a treat to end the unit, my class will have a mini-fair on Friday.  There will be chips, cotton candy, pickles, candy, cookies, and cupcakes.  Students will watch the movie picnic-style, completed with goodies to eat and blankets to lay on.  I want to give a shout out to my awesome parents for providing everything!!!!  Throughout this week, my students completed several end-of-the-book activities.  They redesigned the cover of the novel, created paper bag characters, made a sharing board, and researched either a type of pig or spider. Don't worry, I have some freebies for you too!!!

I have decided to upload all the questions for Charlotte's Web to TpT.  I have a set of questions for each chapter.  I also made tests (6 in all).  I will email a copy of the tests and questions to the first 5 people who comment below and leave an email!!!  I decided against selling the tests on TpT because parents may get their hands on them!

The first activity you will see is our spider and pig research reports.  Students were given either a type of pig or spider to research.  I used the spider and pig report pages from my Charlotte's Web Unit.  The unit is free so feel free to download your report forms.  After researching the pig/spider, students completed a flee map.  For those familiar with Write From the Beginning, you will recognize the flee map.  A flee map is a way for students to organize their writing. Students color code their boxes to help when writing the paragraphs.  Grab your free copy of the flee map (HERE). You can grab your copy of the pig and spider stationary (HERE) and (HERE).
